Key insights

Transmission carries the sector. 905 transmission projects account for 53.6% of all power activity — grid expansion and reinforcement, rather than new generation, is where the volume sits.

More than half is already on site. 922 power projects are in execution, with a further 295 at tender stage and 154 awarded in recent months.

The east leads, the centre follows. Eastern Province holds 400 power projects (23.7%), ahead of Riyadh at 343 and Mecca at 271.

A steady month overall. The wider market edged up 0.5% to 4,835 projects, while power eased 1.4% — a normal cycle of completions rather than a slowdown in commitment.

ADRT perspective

Power remains the single largest slice of the Saudi project pipeline at 34.9%. Its weighting towards transmission points to a long, repeatable stream of work for cable, switchgear, tower and substation suppliers, and for contractors able to qualify on grid packages. Regional concentration in the Eastern Province means a focused qualification effort can reach a disproportionate share of the sector.

Identify the power projects that match your scope and qualification profile.
